"A Permanent Image"

The interrelations of a broken family are put under the microscope in Obie Award-winning playwright Samuel D. Hunter’s potent drama A Permanent Image. The play centers around an estranged family from a small town in Idaho as they gather to bury the family patriarch just before Christmas. Grown children Bo and Ally arrive after years away to find the interior of their childhood home entirely painted white — including all of the walls, furniture and magazines — by their increasingly unhinged mother. Ultimately, the children are confronted with a reality that brings their already-strained worlds crashing down. This Rogue Machine Theatre production paints a stunning portrait of a broken family on the stage of Los Angeles’ Theatre/Theater.
