Be a part of the spooky scene you have to see to believe as the third annual Zombie Crawl drags its collective body parts down Main Street in Santa Monica, in search of food and drink specials, which may or may not include human flesh. You’ll pick up your wristband at Rusty’s Surf Ranch, where experts from Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy will be on hand to apply complimentary undead makeup, if needed. Then, you’ll be set loose to shuffle at your own pace to the eight participating bars and restaurants, ending up at Wokcano for the “WOK-ing Dead” after party, with costume contests and more. Though costumes aren’t required, they’re strongly suggested, and there are some tongue-in-falling-off-cheek rules for participating while on the street: you must be in costume as one of the undead, you must walk with your arms outstretched and lugging one leg behind you, and there is no talking allowed — moaning only, please.
