At 17:45hrs on Thursday 10 February officers attended an address in Sussex Road, Southall re. a man found dead at the location.
Officers were alerted to the death by the landlord of the premises.
Following an initial post-mortem examination the death is now being treated as murder. A further examination at Uxbridge mortuary on 16 February did not establish a formal cause of death and we await the results of further tests.
Officers believe they know the identity of the deceased, a 32-year-old man, and have contacted his next of kin in India, but await formal identification.
An incident room has opened at Hendon under DCI Lee Presland (HSCC).
+ On 16 February a 38-year-old man was arrested in connection with the inquiry, and taken to a west London police station – later bailed to return in April pending further inquiries.
