Happy New Year to each one of you; may all of your wishes come true. 2016 has taught me a bunch of brutal lessons, and I intend to carry the knowledge forever. Moreover, I shall endeavour to read a hundred books in 2017 as I have acquired quite a lot this past year. I used to finish 2 books every week, but things got a little complicated ever since I got hitched. Unfortunately, you cannot focus on one particular task when you have a thousand different things to worry about. Hence, I have left some of my favourite books for 2017 so I could devour them with pleasure.

I have been purchasing various different titles throughout the year; I’m certainly proud to state that I own most of the latest launches. I also went to the KIBF in December as I had to purchase a few oldies; I managed to acquire 6 Harry Potter novels in hardback covers. I do not like to expand when it comes to the authors as I own a list of all those who are my absolute favourite. However, I firmly believe that it’s significant for all of us to encourage and acknowledge new authors, so I went to the stall where they had a bunch of new contemporary books and bought two fascinating titles called Mark of the Dragonfly and Ragged Rose. I also managed to acquire the Chemist by Stephanie Meyer; I preordered it from a store called Readings as Stephanie announced that she’d launch it in the month of November. I’m not a humongous fan of the Twilight Saga, but I enjoyed reading it back when I was in high school. I felt nostalgic when I heard that she was coming out with another title. To be utterly honest, I was not expecting much from this book as Stephanie is not an excellent writer in my opinion. Also, I do not like to read books that are written in American English as I’m obsessed with the Britons.

Nevertheless, I am pleased to state that she blew my mind with her latest book. I honestly do not have enough words to express my feelings and thoughts as I absolutely loved this book. You ought to grab it if you’re interested in thrillers; do not forget to state your opinions below if you have already read it. I’d like you to know that I fell in love with Kevin Beach even though he’s not the main lead. Let’s talk about my new discoveries, shall we? I am not familiar with Jaleigh Johnson or Dilly Court, but I honestly like the covers of their books. I have not read any of these yet, but I shall very soon as I have a lot of titles to read at the moment.

As I have stated before, I intend to read a hundred books this year as I want to add more titles to my shelves. I am desperately waiting for Cassandra Clare to launch the second book of the Dark Artifices series; I received a copy of the Shadowhunters Academy back in the month of November, but I do not want to read it until February. I am not certain about the date, but she said she would launch it in the month of February. That’s pretty much for now. I hope you lovely lasses like my post and I shall see you in the next one.

Until next time!
