Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 3904 Kress about 3:40 p.m. on Friday (June 17).

Terrance Nelson, 28, of the above address, suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Deese and Officer N. Wackman reported:

Officers responded to a report of a burglary at the above address and found Mr. Nelson deceased. He appeared to have been killed in a home invasion. Further investigation revealed that his 2007 Dodge Charger was missing. The vehicle, described as a dark gray Charger, Texas license plates #DPZ-809, had custom chrome rims and a custom chrome grille. There is no known suspect at this time.
