As the mystery unfolds, many popular names are emerging in the IPL 6 spot-fixing case. Several arrests and interrogations have led the police to the son of late wrestler-actor Dara Singh, Vindoo Dara Singh, who is suspected to have links with the relatives of Chennai Super Kings’ owner.

During investigation, Vindoo has admitted that he was in touch with a relative of an IPL franchise owner. Police is tracing all his calls made to Chennai numbers over the past six months to establish more facts.

The 49-year-old actor is charged with cheating and forgery. He was presented before a local court in Mumbai on Tuesday, which remanded him to police custody till Friday. Mumbai Police claims that an alleged bookie Ramesh Vyas named Vindoo in the scam. Vyas told the investigating team that Vindoo has connections with influential bookies and allegedly facilitated them.

On the other hand, the Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch suspects that Vindoo not only facilitated the bookies but was also into betting. Although it cannot be used as evidence, but Vindoo is often spotted watching IPL matches and attending post-match parties.

Earlier, Rajasthan Royals cricketer Ankeet Chavan confessed to spot-fixing in IPL 6. The Indian cricketer hesitated at first but later succumbed to mounting pressure and appealed for mercy. He said he was lured by the great amount of money involved in the deal.
