After showing a poor batting performance in the opening T20 clash, Pakistan will now play the 2nd and final T20 match against the high spirited South Africa in Dubai on Friday.
The worst show of batting by Pakistan has once again cost them the 1st Twenty20 and will be hoping for a huge turn around after the depressing result. A few changes to Pakistan’s team are expected but someone who needs to step up is Shahid Afridi who has been in and out of the Pakistan team over the past whole year. The likely Pakistani lineup will include: 1 Mohammad Hafeez (capt)/Nasir Jamshed, 2 Ahmed Shehzad, 3 Hafeez/Sohaib Maqsood, 4 Shoaib Malik, 5 Umar Akmal (wk), 6 Shahid Afridi, 7 Abdul Razzaq, 9 Sohail Tanvir, 10 Saeed Ajmal, 11 Junaid Khan/Mohammad Irfan.
On the other hand, South Africa played comfortably in foreign conditions and now settled well. The players who are making the most of their opportunity are Quinton de Kock and Imran Tahir. The opening pair of Dale Steyn and Lonwabo Tsotsobe tore through the Pakistan top order collecting four wickets between themselves in the first six overs. They would be looking to repeat the same in this final match. The probable South African squad will include: 1 Henry Davids, 2 Hashim Amla 3, Quinton de Kock (wk) 4 Faf du Plessis (capt), 5 AB de Villiers/David Wiese, 6 David Miller, 7 Ryan McLaren, 8 Wayne Parnell, 9 Dale Steyn, 10 Lonwabo Tsotsobe, 11 Imran Tahir/Aaron Phangiso.
