The Count Basie Orchestra gets things swinging at the legendary Hollywood Bowl with a salute to jazz songstress Ella Fitzgerald, starring vocalists Patti Austin, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Yuna and Clint Holmes. The Grammy-winning Austin, whose R&B hits include “Baby Come to Me” and “How Do You Keep the Music Playing?” released her own acclaimed Fitzgerald tribute album, as has jazz artist Dee Dee Bridgewater, who took home two Grammys for her disc Dear Ella. Popular Vegas crooner Clint Holmes and Malaysian indie pop singer-songwriter Yuna join the party to perform classics like “A-Tisket, A-Tasket,” “Too Close for Comfort,” “The Man I Love” and many more. L.A.’s own Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra opens the show.
