LGBT Dance is excited to offer free queer & trans beginner salsa and hip-hop classes as part of Queer Orientation 2014! Each class will cover the basic steps of salsa and hip hop and will introduce you to these two dance styles.
The classes are taught in a welcoming and gender neutral environment. No partner is required (for the salsa class) and all fitness levels are welcome! We also encourage dancers to modify moves to what feels best for them.
When: Wednesday, September 24 2014, 7-9pm
7pm – Salsa
8pm – Hip Hop
Where: Hart House, 7 Hart House Circle, East Common Room
Some tips for the classes: Bring water and dress in clothing that you feel comfortable dancing in. Please note that we have individuals with chemical sensitivities so we require dancers to be scent-free, which means avoiding the use of strong scents like perfume or cologne.
