Around 10:15 a.m., on November 9, Codiac Regional RCMP responded to reports of a stabbing on Joyce Avenue in Moncton.
When police arrived, they discovered a 23-year-old woman who had been injured with a sharp object. She was taken to hospital for treatment and later released.
Codiac Regional RCMP subsequently arrested a 24-year-old woman in connection with the incident. She was taken into custody and later released on an undertaking and a promise to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on January 21, 2011.
The incident occurred during an argument between the two women who know each other.
The investigation continues.
