Saban Theatre (Beverly Hills, CA)
Turns out the band Five for Fighting is just one very talented guy by the name of John Ondrasik, who’ll headline this benefit concert to raise money to find a cure for ALS. The piano-rocker scored a trio of Top 40 hits in the ’00s with “Superman (It’s Not Easy),” “100 Years” and “The Riddle,” from a pair of platinum albums, and continues to write for other artists, including the Backstreet Boys and Josh Groban. His latest disc is Bookmarks. Along with other luminaries, Ondrasik is set to be joined by singer-songwriter Ilan Davidson, the KindredSPIRITS orchestra, made up of some of L.A.’s best professional musicians and up-and-coming students from local universities, and an an inspiring gospel choir.
