Grammy-winning dance music icons Basement Jaxx return to the Bowl on the heels of their new album Junto. Celebrating a 20-year career of mind-bending pop-house, R&B, ragga, deep funk & ambient techno, Simon Ratcliffe and Felix Buxton reign as the masters of the club mix. The Hollywood Bowl is sure to quake when hits like “Raindrops,” “Where’s Your Head At?” and “Never Say Never” fill the air. Basement Jaxx share headlining duties with the notoriously funky Bootsy Collins. One of the all-time funk greats, Collins is revered for laying down the low end for P-Funk, James Brown, his own Rubber Band and cosmic solo projects. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will dig into the vaults of his illustrious, decade-spanning, funked-up career. Opening up this evening of sweat-inducing sounds is Tuxedo, the tag-team effort of Grammy-nominated neo-soul crooner Mayer Hawthorne and prolific DJ Jake One.
