Instant Films presents the 29th installment of their popular film festival, which features eight short movies written, directed, edited and produced in only 48 hours. The Instant Films Festival is centered on the belief that talent, creativity and a wee bit of sleep deprivation can produce incredible short films from some of Hollywood’s hottest up-and-coming writers, directors and actors. Here how it works: On the night of July 24th, eight writers will receive random topics and have just 12 hours to write short screenplays. The following morning, eight directors will draw a script and a cast at random and begin filming. Then it’s a mad dash as teams race to deliver their finished films no later than two hours prior to the Sunday night screening. An awards ceremony and party will follow the screening.
