ARIA is Dan Driscoll, a deep bass explorer, break beat crafter, and analog gizmo wielder. Hes played at a multitude of woodland music festivals and urban dance parties as a DJ and live act since the mid ’90s when most of you were wearing funny pants. In addition to his live musical adventures, Dan worked as the composer for the award winning documentary Manufactured Landscapes 2006, and as a sound designer creating brainwave controlled music for InteraXons Muse headsets http://www.choosemuse.com/. Heady stuff! Expect a nest of drum machines and other beat boxes, tube synths, bass units and a tangle of wires… this ain’t no laptop pablum, were talking all live hardware and original tunes! https://soundcloud.com/aria-20
DJ CHOCOLATE has been a stalwart in Torontos reggae scene and sound system culture for over two decades, as the founder of legendary female DJ night Chicks Dig It, to operating the premier vinyl mastering facility Scratch Free Press, to hosting her highly rated radio program Rebel Music on CKLN. DJ Chocolate boasts an in depth knowledge and practical experience of reggae rhythms and dub music unparalleled in the city, perhaps the country. This bodacious babe brings the beats and basslines to bounce your booty. Check out her broadcasts live every Monday from 2:30-5pm at http://www.CKLN.fm !
SAFETYDEPT – The bass bin inspector secures the floor! https://soundcloud.com/safetydept
