“We have a TV and is not functioning and we also have radio transmitter and it is not connected, so all these things need to be done.  This is important for Northern Bahr el Ghazal because we are in the border,” Nyibol said.

“The North is sending the plane to kill the people and the main issue we are concern about in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State is that the people [Rizeigat] who are bordering us in the North, they are really not part of this problems caused by Khartoum. Like the Rizeigat, after the bombing by the government of Khartoum they will come immediately to apologize for what is happening to us,”

The Minister of Information and Broadcasting Dr. Barnaba Marial Benjamin said the government will cooperate to make sure the State Television and Radio is working.

“We had a meeting this morning because there are urgent issues especially with the Radio and Television. We shall help technically to see that these institutions are revived,” Dr. Marial Benjamin said on the meeting with the state officials.

“She also touched on the issues of the training of her personnel in Northern Bahr el Ghazal. On behalf of the ministry, we will cooperate to see what we can do together as a Ministry to build the capacity of the personnel especially the training,” he said.

Dr Marial said the ministry will send technicians to Aweil to address some of the technical issues with the TV and Radio.
