On Sunday, March 5, 2012, officers from 14 Division arrested a man in connection with a sexual assault investigation in the Queen Street West/Lansdowne Avenue area.
It is alleged that:
– between Thursday, March 1, 2012 and Sunday, March 4, 2012, during the evening, the accused was prowling the neighborhood in the Queen Street West/Lansdowne Street area
– the accused approached six homes and peered through the windows
– on Saturday, March 3, 2012, the accused approached the home of a woman, climbed over the fence, and broke into the home
– he went to the bedroom where the woman was sleeping and sexually assaulted her.
Zsolt Suhaj, 20, of Toronto, has been charged with:
1) five counts of Prowl By Night
2) Break Enter and Commit Sexual Assault
3) Sexual Assault
The accused is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, room 101, at 10 a.m.
Police believe there may be more victims.
