St. Johns IceCapsThe St. John’s IceCaps today announced they have signed forward Trent Daavettila to a professional tryout contract. 

Daavettila, 27, has played in 66 games with the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL this season. In that time, the Howell, MI native has recorded 71 points (17G, 54A) and 38 penalty minutes. He currently sits fifth on the Kalamazoo leaderboard in points. 

He has played in 16 career AHL games between Adirondack and Grand Rapids for three career points (1G, 2A) and two penalty minutes.
