Richibucto-Village driver dies after vehicle struck a culvert

A 49-year-old man from Richibucto-Village is dead after the vehicle he was driving left the road and struck a culvert.

District 5 RCMP responded to the single vehicle collision just before 10:30 a.m. on April 15, 2012. The vehicle has been travelling north on route 505 in Richibucto-Village, N.B.  when it left the road.  The driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle.

It is believed that failing to wear a seatbelt and alcohol may have been contributing factors to the crash and the fatality.

The investigation is continuing.
