Smooth jazz/jazz fusion pianist and five-time Grammy nominee David Benoit joins the Asia America Symphony Orchestra for a stellar night of music. Enjoy the evening breezes in the open-air Ford Amphitheatre as he conducts as well as performs selections from his huge repertoire of hit songs, which include Freedom at Midnight, Earthglow and Every Step of the Way. In his early career Benoit worked with actresses Lainie Kazan, Ann-Margret and Connie Stevens as a musical director and conductor. He then when on to a successful recording career, releasing a string of hit jazz albums, including a memorial album to Peanuts creator Charles Schulz, which reached No. 2 on the jazz charts. His new album, titled Conversation, is literally hot off the presses. Benoit is such a well-connected artist that you can expect at least a few of his superstar musician friends to “drop by” and perform with him during the show.
