The Wiltern (Los Angeles, CA)
Counting Crows play a show at Los Angeles’ famous Wiltern. Founded in 1991 in Berkeley, they quickly shot to fame. By 1993, they had released their album August and Everything After, which sold 7 million copies and featured the massive hit “Mr. Jones.” They went on to release the platinum albums Recovering the Satellites and This Desert Life, both of which earned praise for their addictive melodies and lead singer Adam Duritz’s soulful vocals. Other big hits include 1994’s “Round Here,” 1996’s “A Long December” and 1999’s “Hanginaround,” as well as the Oscar-nominated “Accidentally In Love.” They most recently released the 2012 album Underwater Sunshine (Or What We Did On Our Summer Vacation), which features covers of ’60s rock hits, songs by the band’s modern colleagues and more.
