Valley Performing Arts Center – Great Hall (Northridge, CA)
Deborah Voigt returns to the Southland, where she was raised and first discovered the power of her voice — one which would later be described as “once in a generation.” A veteran of the Met, Covent Garden and La Scala, Voigt is widely recognized as one of the greatest dramatic sopranos now singing, effusively praised for her far-reaching range, beautiful tone and dramatic sensibility. Although uniqued suited for the works of Strauss and Wagner (her Brünnhilde is quickly becoming legendary), this all-American singer has mastered Broadway standards as well, appearing as “Annie Oakley” in an acclaimed festival production of Annie Get Your Gun. Now Voigt comes home to California to perform at the Valley Performing Arts Center’s Great Hall.
