T. Jahz Lewis
T. Jahz is a notable Toronto Blues & Jazz/AfroCaribbeanSoul musician and songwriter and composer with astounding credits Two Juno awards in collaboration, toured with and/or recorded with the Cougars (featuring Jackie Richardson and Jay Douglas), Bobby Curtola, Bruce Cockburn, Arthur Conley, King Curtis, Solomon Burke, Parachute Club, Shakura S’Aida, Lillian Allen, Buffy Saint Marie, Main Ingredients, Percy Sledge, Charity Brown, Dianne Brooks, Willie Williams, The Blackburns, Roscoe Gordon…and countless others.
Sherie Marshall
Sherie performs professionally for over 20 years across Canada as a Gospel, Rhythm & Blues, and Jazz vocalist, performing with Harry Belafonte, The Smothers Brothers, and Rich Little. Sherie has sung background for George Oliver, Jack DeKeyser, reggae artist Mojah, and Jacksoul at the Canadian Urban Music Awards. She has been the featured vocalist for saxophonist Patricia Wheeler’s jazz octet, “The Absolute Faith Orchestra”, The “Sounds of Toronto” Jazz Concert Series, and the DuMaurier Downtown Jazz Festival.
Walter Maclean
German born drummer Walter spent most of his childhood between Germany and Ghana. At age 12, he had his first drum lesson with Master Drummer Adja Addy (Tigari priest from Ghana) and began his professional career in drums and percussion at 17. He furthered his studies in Holland (Nippy Noya, modern percussion and Tata Guiness, Cuban drumming). Prior to moving to Canada in 1994, Walter toured extensively throughout Europe, Hong Kong and the US with several music bands spanning the musical gamut. Currently living and performing in Toronto.
David West
The guitar style of David is nothing short of musical alchemy! His exuberant and unique fingerstylings and fiery licks give his guitars a voice all their own. David was born in Ecuador and raised in Canada. This Ecuadorian multistring and vocal prodigy has thrilled audiences, the world over, with his virtuosity on the fretless nylon and steel string guitars, Tumak harpguitar and their use in contemporary arrangements with northern and southern Quichua, Shuar and Tsachila nations as well as coastal and andean AfroEcuadorian music.
