Greek Theatre (Los Angeles, CA)
Original Moody Blues members Justin Hayward, John Lodge and Graeme Edge are on the road again, brightening up Los Angeles as they come to the Greek Theatre in support of their recently released eight-disc box set, The Polydor Years 1986-1992. With hit songs like “Nights in White Satin,” “Tuesday Afternoon” and “I’m Just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band),” The Moody Blues emerged from the British Invasion of the ’60s to craft a sound that’s still revered today. Their lush melodies and use of orchestral backing were innovations in their era, and they were rewarded with more than 70 million albums sold worldwide. Their landmark album Days of Future Passed influenced the rise of psychedelic and progressive rock.
