Khadija Aziz is a young, Toronto mixed media artist who
believes that 113. She experiments with the hybridization of traditional mediums and digital softwares to develop innovative processes and techniques.
Tangled is an exhibition of Khadijas best doodles, which
are abstract drawings of very intricate lines on watercolour
and digital prints that resemble maps of her imagination. Khadija accidentally developed this process on her first mixed media sketchbook when she was sixteen-years-old. Now two years later, Khadija has evolved her unique style of doodling through alterations such as watering down inkjet inks on vellum sheets and using softwares like Microsoft Office and the sound software Audacity to create visual backgrounds to doodle on.
This is Khadija’s first solo exhibition.
