U.S Chicken Tarrif complaint gets no positive response from China

Officials of the U.S Trade office are not happy with the tariff increase that china has applied on U.S Poultry imports.

The cost of American Chicken enclosed with the esteemed chicken feet has increased 50% to 100% in china. That means the U.S Poultry industry will have to spend approx $1 billion on import by the end of the year.

The U.S. Trade Representative’s office announced has filed a formal objection with World Trade Organization. They have termed China’s anti-dumping and countervailing duties on U.S chicken as a “Violation of international trade rules”

Trade office’s spokesperson said “China seems to have failed to observe numerous transparency and due-process requirements, failed to properly explain the basis for its findings and conclusions, incorrectly calculated dumping margins, incorrectly calculated subsidy rates and made unsupported findings of injury to China’s domestic industry,"

Ministry of Commerce in china in response to the claims of United States said “China’s anti-dumping measures follow the law and are in accordance with WTO rules; China will study requests from the U.S. carefully and handle them under the WTO’s dispute settlement system."

Many experts are claiming this move from china as a result of 35% duty on Chinese tires from the U.S.
