Police recover body from Glenmore Reservoir in Calgary

The Calgary Police Service, Calgary Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services responded to a 911 call that there had been a drowning in the Glenmore Reservoir at approximately 2:30 pm.

Witnesses walking on the east pathway, just south of the Glenmore bridge observed a body in the water and called police. Upon arrival CPS and CFD located a deceased individual in the water, close to the shore. At this time the gender, age, and identity of the decedent is unknown. The Medical Examiners office has been notified and an investigator is en route.
