Mayor Rob Ford has finally apologized for verbally abusing the emergency dispatchers earlier this week. Ford called the 9-1-1 emergency service when he was ambushed by a controversial comedian, Mary Walsh.

The scene was a setup to crack a joke on the mayor, which did not come out very well. Walsh said Ford initially seemed cheerful but later it was clear to her that he wasn’t in on the joke.

Walsh said: “He obviously was not going to listen to any advice I had… or have anything to do with us whatsoever.”

According to the police, the mayor was extremely angry when he called 911. Allegedly, he said: “Don’t you f–king know? I’m Rob f–king Ford, the mayor of this city!”

Ford said he is sorry for using the “f-word” in a conversation with 911 dispatchers; however, he snubs the allegations that he called them “bitches.”

Mayor Ford said: “When I made the 911 call, I was concerned and upset. I was repeatedly told police were arriving soon. In another call, I expressed frustration with the delay and said that I had to leave to go to city hall. I did use the “f-word” at some point as I expressed my frustration with the situation. … I apologize for expressing my frustration inappropriately.”
