Valley Performing Arts Center – Great Hall (Northridge, CA)

Now on a rare tour of the U.S., the Wroclaw Philharmonic Orchestra performs with soloist Garrick Ohlsson on piano, under the baton of its artistic director Jacek Kaspszyk. Hailing from the largest city in southwest Poland, also known as Breslau, the symphony is known for its varied repertoire of works from the Baroque to the contemporary, with this program set to include pieces by Szymanowski, Chopin and Dvorak. The Wroclaw Philharmonic has appeared in renowned concert halls throughout the world, including Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York, the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, the Musikverein in Vienna and at a concert in New York’s St. Patrick’s Cathedral in memory of Pope John Paul II.
