Verstappen and Pérez fight it out together
Max Verstappen, the current World Cup leader, believes that his only real competition this season is his Red Bull teammate, Sergio Pérez. Verstappen hopes to beat Pérez this weekend in Australia and achieve his first podium finish there.
The RB19 car is currently performing very well, and competitors Mercedes and Ferrari are struggling to keep up with its pace. Verstappen had been ill and was struggling with a virus, which affected his performance in Saudi Arabia, but he is now feeling better and has recovered. Although Pérez is strong competition, Verstappen does not give him much hope of winning the title, and he says that a competitive car is all he needs to become champion again.
