The director Rupesh Paul and the Producers tried very hard and splashed lots of Fake News and initiated Fake controversies (On the Internet) before the release of this film. But as they say, At the end of the day it’s the content which speaks. The makers also claimed this film to be in the Oscar Nominations race (The official website of this film still says it), But after being caught, Director Rupesh Paul came with a clearance of this film being in the Oscar’s List and not Nominations. The director tried his level best to make this one a Hot-Cake. From assembling some Catholic-Group (Unheard, Of course) to raise some objections on the film’s content (Exactly before 10 days of the film’s release), Claiming Dracula as a Muslim (To en-cash Kamal Haasan-Vishwaroopam type controversy) etc.

Rupesh Paul also has a Self-Created (Maybe) Wikipedia which claims he is a Poet, Author and had made few movies before making this one. But as soon as you search the YouTube for his films, There are no results except for a Trailer of a Malayalam Movie ‘My Mother’s Laptop’ or ‘Laptop’. Laptop was a film which failed to make any mark and sources claimed it was thrown away from cinema halls within a week.

Now if you start to think the reason of me explaining you so much about Rupesh Paul? Well, Rupesh Paul has actually made a Decent Film. I fail to understand why a Talented and Skillful Film maker such as Rupesh Paul takes on the route of creating Fake News and Controversies to keep his film ‘Saint Dracula 3D’ in the News? One thing is for sure, Saint Dracula 3D was never-ever an Oscar Nominated film. But it’s entirely the Oscar’s Loss! Belonging to Indian Cinema, It makes me proud that Indian Film maker’s such as Shekhar Kapur, Mira Nair, Manoj N Shyamalan, Rupesh Paul and Sohan Roy goes out there in the International Market, Makes a Film with their Actors and Technicians and comes back making Indian Cinema proud.

Saint Dracula 3D tells the story of a much more romantic Dracula (Mitch Powell) who has resurfaced after a few decades and has set his sights on a woman named Clara (Patricia Duarte) who has recently become a nun. There is another Sub-Plot in the movie where few girls are murdered and investigation is in the process. Dracula, Who waited in hunger and thirst for his long lost admirer is about to fall in a Trap which may stop him from re-uniting with his Love.

Rupesh Paul as a writer and director shows his full command over the content. Such scripts requires a unique amount of research and as a Film maker, Rupesh Paul did his homework very well. The cinematographer Francois Coppey has made every frame a treat to watch on the screen. The film needed a good editor as it looked dragging in some of it’s parts. Musically, The film is a let-down. Composer Sreevalsan J Menon provides a score which was used in Local Regional films in 90’s era. Saint Dracula 3D needed an amazing composer. Such films requires background score of a Howard Shore level.

The performance of the entire cast is good. Mitch Powell who played Dracula didn’t looked charming or charismatic as one expects him to be, But he played his part very well. Patricia Duarte too acted very well in her respected scope.

Saint Dracula 3D is a well made decent English Film by an Indian Film maker and will not disappoint you for sure. In short, BizTv Network churns out another good film after ‘Dam 999’ from their Production Studio.
