Toronto Mayor Rob Ford’s brother, Doug Ford, openly spoke against Toronto Police Chief, Bill Blair, as he called him biased and demanded him to ‘step aside.’ Speaking at a radio show on Tuesday morning, Doug Ford stated that “this is the most political police chief we’ve ever had. He believes he is judge, jury and executioner.” Ford mentioned that “he’s created a bias toward the mayor and in my opinion he’s compromised himself and jeopardized the case against Alessandro Lisi.”

Mr. Blair mentioned in an alarming announcement made last week that Toronto Police have recovered the video which appears to show Rob Ford smoking crack cocaine. Additionally, he commented that as a Torontonian he’s very disappointed. Speaking against Mr. Blair for these remarks, Mr. Ford stated that “I’d like to see him step aside until this probe is completed.” Ford explained that “this is my opinion, Doug Ford’s opinion.” Further elucidating on his point of view, Mr. Ford added that he and his brother are huge supporters of the police, alleging that his statement isn’t extraordinary because what the police chief said about his brother crossed a line. He stated that “I never told the police chief to go up and make those comments.”

Amid calls by Doug Ford for the police chief to step aside, Rob Ford has instead chosen not to step aside regardless of numerous allegations and controversies swirling around him over a number of his actions, from public intoxication to being seen on a video tape apparently smoking crack to public urination.
