N.B. man Terence Maurice Tupper sentenced to six month jail for possession of child pornography

On January 25, 2012, 56-year-old Terence Maurice Tupper, of Salisbury, N.B., appeared in Moncton Provincial Court and was sentenced to six months in jail for possession of child pornography.

Tupper was charged in connection with a child sexual abuse image investigation led by the New Brunswick RCMP’s Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit. A search warrant was executed at Tupper’s home in Salisbury on June 24, 2011, where police seized computer equipment containing images of child sexual abuse. He pleaded guilty to the charge on January 13, 2012.

Tupper was on parole in connection with another matter at the time of the offence. His parole was revoked and he has since been incarcerated at the Westmorland Institution in Dorchester, N.B. Tupper has been added to the National Sex Offender Registry for life.
