In a congratulatory statement read on South Sudan National Radio, president Kiir said Obama’s victory means more strengthened ties between Juba and Washington and people globally.
President Kiir expressed delight with the victory for it offers an opportunity for Obama to accomplish unfinished programmes and ensure regional stability and the whole globe.
Obama beat his Republican Challenger Mitt Romney to the White House with 303 college votes compared to the latter’s 206 votes.
Americans-South Sudanese also celebrated victory, saying if Obama failed, they would have considered coming back to South Sudan.
