September 13, 2010 – Houston police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of another at 9718 Galaxy about 6:45 p.m. on Friday (Sept. 10).

Herbert Goldsmith (b/m, DOB: 11-28-88) is charged with capital murder in the 176th State District Court. He is accused in the death of Christopher Jones, 29, of the above address, who suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. A photo of Goldsmith is attached to this news release.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants R. Blain, J. Burton and Officers J. Robles and M. Brady reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found the victim inside a bedroom. A second male victim, 27, was found in the kitchen, also suffering a gunshot wound, and was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
