The Calgary Police Service Drug Unit has arrested four men, with charges pending against several more, in connection with a heroin trafficking cell.

Following a three-month investigation, officers executed warrants on five homes, one business and five vehicles, on Wednesday, June 22, 2011.

In total, police seized nearly $5,000 worth of heroin (36 grams), $4,600 worth of marijuana (455 grams), $120 worth of ecstasy, as well as approximately $40,000 in Canadian cash and $3,500 in US currency.

The seized vehicles are currently being sought through the province’s Civil Forfeiture Act.

Sandeep SAINI, 32, Amarjeet SANDHU, 31, Abdullah IRSHAD, 20, Gurpreet WARRING, 23, are each charged with multiple counts of trafficking and proceeds of crime.
