On Tuesday, June 28th, 2011 at approximately 7:30 p.m., a vehicle collided with a cyclist at the intersection of Limeridge Rd. W. and Garth St.
The 10 yr. old cyclist was crossing Garth St., east bound in the crosswalk, on a green walk signal.
The car was traveling west bound on Limeridge Rd. W., turned left onto Garth St., and struck the cyclist in the crosswalk.
The cyclist was knocked down and dragged under the vehicle a short distance.
Witnesses alerted the driver to stop.
The cyclist was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious, life threatening injuries.
The driver of the car, an 82 yr. old Hamilton woman was interviewed by police then driven home.
The 10 yr. old male cyclist from Hamilton remains at hospital and in critical condition.
