After much delay, Padmaavat finally hit the screens last week. Undoubtedly, the film has also been receiving praises for its content and characters. But Ranveer Singh seems to be a favourite amongst that. The actor seems to have been appreciated not just by fans but also by colleagues. In fact, here’s what Shah Rukh Khan had to say after watching Padmaavat.

Ranveer Singh took to social media to get one of the biggest B-Town superstars’ Shah Rukh Khan’s opinion on his film Padmaavat. While the rising superstar assumed that SRK hasn’t watched his film as yet, it seems that Khan had taken time for Padmaavat. Ranveer tweeted, “Hi Bhai ! anxious for you to see ‘Padmaavat’ ! #AskSRK.”

On the other hand, responding to the tweet Shah Rukh Khan revealed that he has already seen the film. He replied, “So sorry didn’t realise it was u, cos now u r Khilji for me. Bahut acchhi picture hai bhai..I saw it and loved it.” Obviously, we believe that Singh would be on cloud nine with Shah Rukh Khan’s recent comments.

Ranveer Singh, for the first time, experimented with the role of an antagonist as Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat. The film showcased his different layers of personality and his strong portrayal has won hearts of many.
Talking about the film, Padmaavat is based on Sufi Malik Muhammad Jayasi’s poetry that was written in 1540. The film, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, also features Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor. Post a long battle with censors and haters, Padmaavat finally made its way to the silver screens on January 26.
