The leader of the youth segment of the African National Congress (ANC) Julius Malema submitted an appeal against his expulsion from the ruling party on grounds of sowing seeds of division within ANC on Thursday.

The spokesperson of ANC Keith Khoza spoke to the media and said, “The members of the national disciplinary committee of appeal are currently hearing the case.”

Angry at his expulsion from the party, Malema submitted an appeal against the decision of the party and said that the President of the party Jacob Zuma is a dictator and is imposing his “dictatorial behavior” on him and the party. He urged other party members to take action and ban him from future activities of the party. Most political analysts have expressed that the case is a test for Zuma as the president of the party as he is soon going to contest to be the leader of the party for another five years, which will eventually lead to the second term as the President of South Africa due to huge support of the party.

Khoza refrained from commenting on the date for the internal decision regarding the expulsion of Malema. However, Malema has already announced that if the internal decision of the party is not in his favor, he will contest it in the court.
