In a double-headliner show that’s sure to be packed with hits, Chicago and the Doobie Brothers come “Rockin’ Down the Highway” to the Gibson Amphitheatre. Both groups have been radio mainstays for decades, and their live shows are the stuff of legend. Chicago’s early, horn-driven rock sound has evolved to incorporate ’80s power ballads, jazz and more, while the Doobies are known for their soulful, swampy roots rock. Expect to hear the best of both groups, including Chicago smashes such as “25 or 6 to 4,” “Saturday in the Park,” “Baby What a Big Surprise” and “Old Days,” and Doobies favorites like “Listen to the Music,” “Jesus Is Just Alright,” “Long Train Runnin'” and “China Grove.”
