Despite Barfi! getting delayed by over one year, if Ranbir Kapoor is still seen smiling then there is a reason behind that. And why not? After all, each and every delayed film of his has done wonders commercially.
"Whenever his films take time much more than what was originally planned, they end up doing quite well", comments an observer, "Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani took over two years to be made and at times it seemed like it would get shelved. It ended up being Ranbir's biggest grosser and surprised not just the industry but even him. Later the same happened with Raajneeti as well which took a real long time to be made. In fact even after it was completed, director Prakash Jha delayed it by further six months. It was an even bigger success than Ajab Prem…."
The trend only continued last year with Rockstar being constantly pushed ahead with constant speculations around it'. The only exception though has been Saawariya which took its own sweet time to be made but failed miserably at the box office. However, everyone is well aware of the numerous problems that the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film carried.
"Still, all said and done, the film firmly established Ranbir as the youngest star-actor around. There were still many benefits from it. Now similar reactions are coming for Barfi! as well which is arriving after a huge delay but is already seeing good appreciation coming his way. Of course Ranbir is observing all the feedback coming his way doesn't really mind the fact that the film has been pushed ahead. After all, the trend has been working for him, isn't it", questions a close associate.
Well, all we can say is that though Ranbir definitely wouldn't have planned for this all, he may just want to keep his fingers crossed for this one as well!
