The PaleyFest sings the praises of ABC’s new show Nashville, with a panel event featuring its stars Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere, along with its creator, Oscar-winning writer Callie Khouri (Thelma & Louise). Driven by the rivalry between a veteran country-music star (Britton) and the young upstart at the top of the charts (Panettiere), the buzzed-about new drama series also showcases the career struggles and romances of its ensemble characters, and is highlighted by an amazing collection of country songs, wrangled by Khouri’s husband and Oscar and Grammy-winning music producer T-Bone Burnett (O Brother Where Art Thou). TV Guide editor-in-chief Debra Birnbaum is set to moderate the discussion, which is also scheduled to include producers Dee Johnson and R.J. Cutler, along with Khouri, Britton (Friday Night Lights) and Panettiere (Heroes). The PaleyFest events are also known to screen an episode from the series as well.
