Calgary Police has released further details into the homicide which took place in Cape Breton, where a man was stabbed to death during a fight in Calgary home over the weekend. Police is still searching for the motive behind the death of 32-years-old Craig Kelloway, who originally belonged to Glace Bay, N.S., but had shifted to Alberta almost six years ago.

Mr. Kelloway was working as a math and science teacher at David Thompson Middle School in Calgary. He had recently moved to the upscale community of Auburn Bay, where he was attending a neighbourhood barbecue on Saturday when he met another man there for the first time. They both visited the other man’s home where, later on, police claims they entered into an argument soon before midnight. Staff Sergeant, Doug Andrus, of Calgary Police Service stated that “an altercation later took place between two people and one of the men died as a result.” Police has confirmed that initial reports depict that Kelloway died as a result of stabbing. However, the cause of death will not be officially determined until an autopsy is complete.

30-year-old Nick Rasberry was arrested from the crime scene, and has been charged with second-degree murder. He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday. Neighbours have alleged that Mr. Rasberry was a clean-cut and friendly man, while expressing to be highly shocked to hear about the incident. Police has stated that another person was also present in the home at the time of incident, though they weren’t in the room.
