After a dark and gloomy Friday morning in Durban, when the second day started the spectators witnessed a fine spell of fast bowling from Dale Steyn that wrapped up India’s first innings for 334, adding just 153 for the loss of nine wickets on a rain-shortened day.
South Africa successfully made a comeback during both the sessions on Friday after rain washed out first two hours of play. India resumed a solid 181 for 1 but folded up at 334 due to a marvelous bowling by the hosts.
In response to the 1st innings, South Africa took a nice start of 82/0. Skipper Graeme Smith remained unbeaten at 35 and Alviro Peresen was not out at 46 and both will resume the play on Saturday.
