This incredible, lesser-known slice of American history examines this small group of black women who settled the first all-black town of Nicodemus, Kansas in the late 1800s. Overcoming tremendous odds, they brave the untamed frontier, brutal winters and other challenges to build this town that’s a historic national landmark today.
