USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…With Pradeep Sarkar's Mardaani becoming an out-and-out Rani Mukerji's vehicle, the film's romantic lead, the Bengali actor Jisshu Sengupta suddenly finds his role being edited drastically.

It is learnt that Jisshu flew down to Mumbai from Kolkata for a flash meeting with Aditya Chopra after he learnt that his role had been pruned down.

It has now been mutually decided between Yash Raj Films and the actor that his role would be billed as a "guest appearance" in Mardaani.

Speaking from Kolkata Jisshu says, "Yes, Yash Raj has graciously agreed to credit my role as a guest appearance. I am fine with that."

This is the Bangla superstar's second Hindi film where he makes a guest appearance.

Says Jisshu, "I was Ileana D'Cruz's very silent husband in Anurag Basu's Barfi. I am Rani's husband in Mardaani. It's good to be the underdog once in a while."
