The GRAMMY Museum (Los Angeles, CA)
Listen in as Texas singer-songwriter Billy Joe Shaver shares his stories about writing hits for Willie Nelson, Patty Loveless and Waylon Jennings and creating Long in the Tooth, his first studio album in six years, and then performs live in the intimate setting of the Clive Davis Theater at The GRAMMY Museum for its The Drop series. Shaver is the man behind the outlaw country classic Old Five and Dimers Like Me, and he was honored with the American Music Association’s first Lifetime Achievement Award for Songwriting and inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Just two days after the release of Long in the Tooth, Shaver sits down with Scott Goldman, vice president of The GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares, for some good ol’ conversation before strumming his hits.
