Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Earlier we had reported that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan would soon be seen making her big screen comeback with the Sanjay Gupta film Jazbaa. The maverick director intended to commence shooting for it only in January 2015. But now we hear that Gupta is all set to start shooting Jazbaa this December.
Apparently, this change in schedule comes after John Abraham and Anil Kapoor who were initially expected to commence shooting for their film Mumbai Saga with Gupta had to reschedule their dates due to Anees Bazmee's Welcome Back. Sanjay Gupta confirmed the postponement in Mumbai Saga saying that he would be starting Jazbaa in December well before Mumbai Saga, which will roll later.
As for the film itself, Jazbaa is said to be an action thriller drama featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as a strong female character, playing the role of a lawyer, Irrfan Khan reprising the role of a suspended cop who has problems with authority and discipline and John Abraham in an extended cameo playing the role of a gangster. On the other hand, Mumbai Saga that features John, Anil Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi and Huma Qureshi, is set in the 80s and 90s, and revolves around the deep rooted web of underworld, politicians, police and mill owners.
