Celebrate National Poetry Month with an evening of poetry and music at Palmerston Library Theatre with Canadian poet and author Lilly Barnes who will read from her new book “Journey” (Inanna Publications, 2014). Book signing will follow. Lilly Barnes was born in the Ural Mountains of Russia and had lived in three countries by the time she arrived in Canada at the age of 17. She is the author of “A Hero Travels Light” (short stories), the novel “Mara” (2010) and recipient of the Margaret Collier Award for her body of work, writing scripts for the CBC’s “Mr. Dressup”.
