Brian Wilson, who wrote some of the greatest songs in American pop music as a founding member of The Beach Boys, performs live in concert at the beautiful Greek Theatre. From early songs about cars and surfing to the 1966 masterpiece LP Pet Sounds and beyond, Wilson’s “teenage symphonies to God” broke new ground in rock music, combining elaborate vocal harmonies with baroque, unconventional instrumentation. He’s been productive in recent years, releasing his long-awaited magnum opus Smile in 2004 and reuniting with The Beach Boys for a 50th anniversary tour. He’s currently working on his 11th solo album. For this concert, Wilson will be joined by two more former members of The Beach Boys: Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin.
