Time: 7:30pm discussion panel – 8pm movie to start

For one night only, Minto Westside hosts the city’s first bike-in movie screening of the Nicolas Cage 1983 cult classic “Valley Girl”.

Come out to enjoy free popcorn, cotton candy, and an evening under the stars while you reminisce to the days of crushes, scrunchies, and popularity contests. But most of all, surround yourself in a slice of classic Cage. The man. The meme. The god.

Kicking off the event, Nicolas Cage will be the subject of a lively debate hosted by the author of the upcoming book “National Treasure: Nicolas Cage”, Lindsay Gibb set to be released in October. Gibb, joined by special guests Alison Lang, editor of Broken Pencil Magazine, Andrew Barr, one of Canada’s top young comedic prospects and Bobby Knauff, comedian, will argue whether the internet god is the best actor of our time, or the worst.

As TIFF takes over the city, Minto Westside wanted to create an opportunity for Toronto’s west side community to come together. Inviting all to join, the Minto Westside’s bike-in channels the spirit of the festival in a celebration for the masses.
